American Idol judge Katy Perry announced on her social networks a special edition of the show after the Oscar broadcast. This one-hour episode included never-before-seen auditions.
Usually the episode is shown for two hours, but because of the Oscar, this episode was shortened and moved to a later time, writes Cheatsheet.
"It’s what everyone looks forward to… American idol Sunday. But we really do have a surprise special bonus episode coming after the Oscar’s", Katy Perry said.
