No hugs: Jada Pinkett Smith reveals sad secret of her childhood
Many of our grievances and problems come from childhood.

Jada Pinkett Smith and her mother Adrienne Banfield Norris have revealed one of the family secrets.

On Red Table Talk, they opened up about what was missing from the mother-daughter relationship as the 50-year-old actress grew up.

“One of the things that was so missing in my relationship with my mother and with Jada was just touch,” Norris, 68, said in a clip of the new episode shared with E! News.

Jada then confirmed she grew accustomed to not getting “cuddles” as a little girl.

“Very rarely will you see Jada and I even touch, hug,” Norris continued. “It’s awkward because we didn’t hug in our family. We knew we were loved, but it just wasn’t that kind of nurturing touch.”
