New cases of human-to-human transmission of monkeypox detected in the U.S.
Now 14 people in 8 states have been officially named as infected.

New cases of monkeypox have been found in the U.S. due to close human-to-human contact within the country. Four more new cases have been found in different states, with the new case in Colorado being close contact with another infected person that medics examined the day before.

Apparently, monkeypox is easily transmitted from human to human, just as it is from monkey to human. For a monkey to infect a human, it must bite or scratch him. As for the human-to-human case, the disease is transmitted through skin contact or by airborne droplets.

According to TMZ, 14 cases of human-to-human infection have already been confirmed in eight states.
